About Închirieri ATV Buggy Sinaia
The routes start in Sinaia and climb the forest roads above the town, towards Calea Codrului, Stana Regala and Cota 1400. As you gain altitude the forest opens up and you are left with the Prahova Valley below you and the Bucegi ridge ahead. The long route, 4.5 hours, goes past Cota 1300 towards Bolboci Lake and Ialomita Cave, in the heart of the plateau.
The vehicles are CF Moto 520L X5, 2025 model, with power steering and heated grips and throttle. These details matter more than they sound: over two hours of technical terrain, power steering is the difference between an enjoyable ride and tired arms after the first half hour, and heated grips make a real difference on any morning ride in spring or autumn.
Every tour starts with a short safety briefing and riding instructions. You then set off as a group, with the guide leading, on established routes. There are stops for photos at the viewpoints, and the pace adapts to the group. If weather or trail conditions require it, the guide may change the route — safety comes before the announced itinerary.
No previous experience is needed. The easy routes, like the Forest Road, are designed exactly for a first ride, while the harder ones stay an option for those who have ridden before. If you come with family or a larger group, the 4 and 6-seat buggies solve the problem — not everyone has to drive.

A short ride through the forest on the edge of Sinaia: a stretch of asphalt, then a gentle forest road. No technical sections — the right choice if you have never ridden an ATV or simply want to try one out.
A forest road through the woods, with a stop at Gâtej Spring, continuing to the junction with DN 71, the road climbing towards Târgoviște. Steady riding, without demanding climbs.
A climb through the forest, stopping at a mountain spring, up to Stâna Regală at 1200 m. From there the view opens over the Prahova Valley. Optionally, you can continue on foot to the Franz Josef Rocks, where the panorama is even wider.
A forest road with two stops: a mountain spring and Sfânta Ana Hermitage, a small church hidden among the trees. The route ends at the Cota 1400 viewpoint, overlooking the resort and the Bucegi massif.
Combines the relaxed ride along Calea Codrului, with a stop at Gâtej Spring, with the climb up to Stâna Regală. The first half is easy going, the second asks for some focus. At the top, at 1200 m, an open view over the Prahova Valley.

A ridge route on the slope facing the Bucegi mountains, with a stop at Zamora Chalet and at the 1360 m viewpoint, from where the Caraiman Cross can be seen across the valley. The climb continues to Zănoaga Chalet at 1800 m, where a meal with traditional Romanian food can be arranged on request. Long climbs and exposed roads — requires experience riding on rough terrain. In winter, the route runs only if snow conditions and visibility allow; confirmation is given on the day of the booking.
The longest ride on offer: a climb up to Cota 1300, a traverse towards Lake Bolboci and a descent to Ialomița Cave. Four and a half hours through the heart of the Bucegi mountains, with photo stops at every point. Departures are in the morning. In winter, the route runs only if snow conditions and visibility allow; confirmation is given on the day of the booking.

Do I need a driving licence for the ATV?

Yes, the driver needs a valid driving licence. Passengers do not need one.
From what age can children join?
▾
On ATVs, children can ride as passengers from the age of 8. In buggies there is no age limit — children of any age are welcome, accompanied by an adult who drives. All buggies have seat belts, and we provide correctly sized helmets for children.
Can I join if I have never ridden an ATV?

Yes. Before departure you get a safety briefing and riding instructions from the guide, and the easy routes are designed for beginners.
How many people fit on one vehicle?

ATVs have two seats. Buggies are available with 2, 4 and 6 seats, suitable for families or groups.
What equipment do I get?
▾
Helmet, goggles and gloves are included in the price, along with a reusable balaclava washed after every use. We also have helmets for children. Rain gear is available free on request. Optionally, you can get a new sealed balaclava for 25 lei or a mud protection suit for 30 lei.
How do I pay?

Nothing is charged when you book. You pay at the centre, on the day of the tour.
Until when can I cancel for free?

Cancellation is free if you let us know at least 72 hours before your booking time.
What happens if I damage the vehicle?
▾
Damage caused to the vehicle during the tour — rolling over, impact, damage to the body or components — is covered by the customer. Technical faults from normal wear or from the operation of the vehicle are not in this category and are on us. The safety briefing and following the guide instructions keep the risk of damage to a minimum.
What happens if it rains?

Tours run in wet weather too, and we provide rain gear free of charge. If the weather or winter conditions make the route impassable, the tour is rescheduled or cancelled at no cost to you.
Can I drink alcohol before the tour?

No. Alcohol and drugs are not allowed before or during the tour, and the guide may refuse participation with no refund.
How long does a tour last?
▾
From about one hour on the Forest Road up to 4 hours and 30 minutes on the route to Bolboci Lake and Ialomita Cave. Each route shows its duration and difficulty.
What should I wear?
▾
Long clothing and closed shoes. On wet or muddy routes it is worth keeping a change of clothes in the car.
